Privacy Policy

We value your privacy. The app runs offline-first; all student profiles, class listings, and attendance logs are saved locally in secure SQLite storage on your device. When Cloud Sync is explicitly turned on by the user, attendance data is synced to Firebase Firestore to coordinate staff collaboration within the same school.

The app stores only the data you provide:

• Student names and roll numbers
• Class names and sections
• Daily attendance records (present / absent / late)
• Attendance notes and remarks
• School name and branding preferences
• Teacher / staff email for Cloud Sync authentication

We do not collect personal identifiers such as phone numbers, photos, location data, or any analytics tracking beyond what Firebase Authentication requires for sign-in.

• Internet & Network State: Syncs attendance logs to Firestore and processes Play Store billing for premium features.
• Vibrate: Provides interactive tactile feedback when marking attendance rosters.
• Accessibility Service (Optional): Dispatches PDF attendance reports directly through WhatsApp. This permission is only requested when the user manually triggers WhatsApp report sending.

When Cloud Sync is enabled, data is transmitted to and stored in Google Firebase Firestore. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Firebase Firestore security rules restrict access so that only authenticated staff members of the same school can read or write school data.

All synced data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell, trade, or share student or staff information with any third party. School principals have full control over school records and can delete the entire school workspace instantly at any time.

The app uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Firebase Authentication — for email-based sign-in
• Firebase Firestore — for cloud data sync
• Google Play Billing — for premium subscription management

This app is designed for teachers and school administrators, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Student names entered by the teacher are stored locally and used solely for attendance tracking purposes.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
